Most of now days corporate management put exit interview as part of important management role for a resignation. It’s become more important when it’s applied for a management level resignation. But how is it from employee side ? should they care about exit interview when a resignation has been decided?.
Infact most “smart” employee dosen’t respect it. They don’t care about resignation interview. They more care about farewell party.
Why ?
2 major “useless” topics in an exit interview
Basically exit interview is an interview about :
1) Why asking for resignation ?
2) Any advise for the company ?Viewing those two main topics, They are obviously useless for employee
Most of resignation caused by some un-satisfaction points on management, policy or the company in general. This question will lead to some complains from the employee who asked for resignation. The questions are :
“Do company really care about the complain?”,
If company really care about it, then the resignation should not happened.
Useless Topic-2 : Any advise for the company ?
(-a-) Smart employee would prefer to be a professional adviser rather than giving a free advise.
(-b-) Even if employee will, advise has been ignored by the company won’t change anything.

Jul,
prefessional adviser in this case is : anyone who get paid because of giving a great advise to the company. The advise itself could be an idea how to improve company's management or else.
Since it's an english blog, it's dedidcated for worldwide reader. Other reader may like to know your opinion. and it will be helpful if they can unedsrtand what you write.
Cheers jul :-)
